We have an exciting announcement! Recently, the FHBA Certified Ratings Program has applied as a Home Certification Organization (HCO) within the Energy Star® Homes community.
If our application is approved, the EPA will allow multiple certification entities based on the ISO standard, while maintaining a single standard appropriate to the building industry. We appreciate EPA’s efforts to bring the Homes certification scheme into alignment with other Energy Star® programs. Also, we would like to thank our partners for their support as well as their letters of recommendation.
Competition in the marketplace is essential and the Energy Star® Homes community has been open to different choices. When the Certified Ratings Program began several years ago, we aimed to develop it with the best certification expertise available.
